Ethical Guidelines

Perspectives on Federalism is committed to ensuring the quality of articles.
To this aim it expects Authors, Editors, and Reviewers to conform to international publishing standards of ethical behaviour.
 
Authors: When submitting a paper authors should provide all relevant pieces of information requested by the submission policy. Providing fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behaviour. Authors ensure that their work is entirely original works, properly acknowledging when the work and/or words of others have been used. Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable. Also submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical behaviour and a violation of the submission policy. Co-authors should be fully aware of the submission and they shall all approve have the final version of the paper before publication. Review articles should be comprehensive and accurate accounts of the state of the art.
 
Editors: Editors commit to evaluate manuscripts on their academic merit. Editors shall not use any information deriving from their position without the express consent of the authors involved. Editors will react promptly if ethical complaints will be presented concerning a submitted manuscript or a published paper.

Reviewers:
Manuscripts under review will be treated as confidential documents. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review cannot therefore be used for personal advantage. Reviews should be conducted in depth, providing comments and suggestions to help authors improve their researches and their papers. Referee shall not accept to make a review on issues they are not qualified to deal with, and shall respect the schedule of the review. Reviewers should inform the editors and avoid to review submitted papers in case of conflicts of interests, which may result from established relationships with the author(s) or institutions connected to the papers.
